Lets Be A Team Player! As an artist, we are responsible to apply beautiful application and appropriate instructions to perform our artistry. Failure to follow pre-care instructions will affect the final outcome of your final results by 60-90%. Here are some restrictions before your appointment to ensure your skin is in good condition for the best results: TWO WEEKS BEFORE AVOID: • tweezing • exfoliating agents • waxing • coloring your brows • electrolysis • vitamin e and fish oil 48 HOURS BEFORE AVOID: • caffeine • ibuprofen • tea • smoking • boba • alochol • aspirin
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW PRE-CARE?
    • higher chance of bleeding which pushes out the ink causing poor retention • risk of being sent home • does not create a good canvas for your artist to work on • affect your healing process Pre-care, aftercare, technique, and how our body heals are all important factors to achieve great results.
  • IS TREATMENT PAINFUL?
The level of discomfort is relatively minor. Everybody has a different level of sensitivity so topical anesthetic is applied during the treatment to alleviate any sensation or discomfort. You will hear a scratch noise/ sensation throughout. Music is usually played during the procedure, however feel free to bring your own ear phones and music to distract you. *Avoid scheduling appointments during your menstrual cycle as it may increase sensitivity and bleeding.
  • IS SEMI-PERMIANENT DEEMED PERMANENT?
Microblading and other semi-permanent eyebrow treatment is considered permanent because color is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, so it naturally fades over time quicker in facial due to more fluid circulation than other parts of the body. Your face sees the most wear of any piece of you—exposure to the sun, food, facial products—the list goes on and on. All of these things cause permanent color to fade.
  • HOW DO I CHOOSE A SHAPE? WHAT IS EYEBROW MAPPING/DESIGN PROCESS LIKE?
We choose the shape and design of your new eyebrow together. Whether you are just looking to enhance the fullness of your natural eyebrow, or create a whole new shape, we will take it one step at a time. This is the first part of every new treatment; the consultation and mapping/designing process takes about 30 minutes to an hour. You will be layed down with your eyes closed during most of this part. I use a specialized compass, 3 rulers, thread-tracing technique, and final symmetry check with a application designed specifically by PhiBrows Academy. Your new shape will be applied with a cosmetic pencil first so that you can see how it will look on your face. We will not start the procedure until you are happy with what we have designed.
  • HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? HOW OFTEN DO I GET A TOUCH UP?
Since tattoo pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade overtime. The pigments used in permanent makeup is semi-permanent and typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type (dry, normal, oily, and etc), age (youthful/mature) and lifestyle choices. Skincare routine will also affect the lasting effect of the pigment: patients who tan, uses products with aha or glycolic acid with fade faster as your skin will resurface faster. Each individual’s color retention within the skin will vary. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 12 months but no later than 36 months.
  • IS A TOUCH-UP APPOINTMENT NECESSARY?
YES! The healed results from your initial treatment are great but a touch up treatment anytime after 8 week is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED because everyone heals differently and therefore the outcomes vary. In the touch up session, final adjustments are made to assure the client’s satisfaction by adjusting pigment color, brow thickness by adding more strokes. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up treatment is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year!
  • DO YOU SHAVE THE EYEBROW?
NO! Cosmetic brow tattoo is done to enhance what you already have to make the eyebrows look as natural as possible. Every attempt is made to retain all natural hair and integrate it into the design of the permanent eyebrows. After a shape has been determined, some stray hairs may need to be removed to create a clean and aesthetically pleasing result. For the microblading technique, the natural hair provides a guideline for the artist to mimic the microblading strokes.
  • CAN I HAVE THIS TREATMENT DONE IF I HAVE NO EYEBROW HAIR?
ABSOLUTELY! This is a great option for those who suffer from alopecia, trichotillomania, or have been through chemotherapy. It can even correct past wax catastrophe, over-tweezing, or the normal hair thinning that occurs with aging.
  • DOES MICROBLADING CAUSE SCARRING?
NO. Microblading itself will not cause scarring. What can cause scarring after treatment is picking at the healing skin. This is why it is extremely important to make sure you know NOT to pick at any scabs or flaking skin after you have had a any procedure done. Picking could result in the loss of pigment as well as scarring.
  • WHAT TYPE OF PIGMENTS DO YOU USE?
Permablend BrowDaddy Gold Collection & Tina Davies Collections, & PhiBrows SUPER. I use only the BEST high quality pigments for my clients! Don’t be afraid to ask your potential artist what brand of pigment and tools they will be using. This is your face! All pigments are gamma sterilized, hypoallergenic, vegan friendly, and never tested on animals.
  • WHAT IS COMBO/HYBRID BROWS?
To enhance your natural eyebrows and create eyebrow shape, symmetry and a natural appearing fluffiness with microblading hair-strokes and shading for extra depth and definition by adding pigment between the microbladed hair strokes. *Recommended for someone with dry to normal skin-type *Recommended for someone with sparse to little eyebrows *Recommended for cover-up of previous
  • I ALREADY HAVE PERMANENT MAKE-UP DONE? CAN YOU HELP?
Yes, changes to your old design can be made. This will be taken on a case-by-case. This service is called Correction or Cover-up. Please advise if you have an existing brow tattoo, submit a clear picture by text to 253.234.7845 to determine if you are a candidate for this treatment. Powder Brows and Combo/Hybrid Brows technique can have better results in hiding/covering old previous permanent makeup.
  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
Healing time varies from person to person. Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off. Your skin will be considered healed after that happens. The pigment takes some time to settle into the skin, a good month should pass before we consider the process complete. 90% of the results will vary per individual which is why proper aftercare is so important and will fully determine final results. With oilier skin, the pigment will heal a lot softer and more of a powder finish, dryer skin will heal with a crisper stroke appearance. (Please refer to aftercare instructions for further information after procedure).
  • IS MICROBLADING SAFE? ANY RISK OR COMPLICATIONS?
My clients health and safety come first, and that’s why I only use the highest quality and highest standard pigment available. They are 100% vegan, never tested on animals and FREE of heavy metals that are used in most semi-permanent brands. Now FDA approved! All of the pigments used are cosmetic grade, meaning that they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. The pigments used are exclusively made for semi-permanent eyebrows and allow for an easy application with excellent color retention. I follow OSHA’s bloodborne pathogens standards to reduce or eliminate the hazard of contamination and exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials and ensure all proper precautions for a safe treatment in a sanitized environment that all tools are single use; Implements such as gauze, cotton rounds, etc. are single use and disposed after each client.
  • WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT (AFTERCARE)?
A common question I often get asked is if you'll require any recovery time following your appointment. Will you need to book some time off work? 👇🏼 There’s no downtime after the treatment and most of our clients feel that they can return to work and/or other daily activities immediately after their permanent makeup appointment. However, there may be some redness, slight swelling, and the treated area may have some flakiness for the first 7-15 days. The healing process will vary from person to person, and this will also depend on the procedure being performed as well. Your brows will appear darker and bolder initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your daily activities. You are able to walk right out the door, ready to show off your new eyebrow. Please read through and follow the aftercare instructions properly to obtain the best results.
  • WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT LONG-TERM AFTERCARE?
If eyebrows are not maintained over time, pigments will fade. fading greatly depends on skin type, lifestyle choices, sun exposure, pigment color used, broken capillaries, iron deficiency, facial products used, and if any chemical peels were done after your procedure—the list goes on and on. I recommend an annual touch up to keep brows looking their best. To prolong pigment retention, remember to apply sun block often and avoid abrasive facial treatments in the eyebrow area.
  • CAN YOU GUARANTEE YOUR WORK? DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
Unfortunately, I can't. How the skin will react is different for everyone and many factors are to be taken into consideration. I can guarantee that your face is important to me and that I will act in accordance with my experience and expertise to give you my absolute best. I can guarantee that I will strive to make you gratified and content every time. How the skin will react varies from person to person and many other factors are to be taken into consideration. skin type, age, scarring, diet, stress levels, facial products used, etc. All play a key role in how the pigment will hold, which is why it is important to know that more than one touch up may be required. During consultation we will go over all details and you must sign the consent form before we start the procedure. NO GUARANTEE AND NO REFUNDS.
  • WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE THE RESULTS?
As with all cosmetic procedures, individuals should not make their choices lightly. We always recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure and compare different artists' work and portfolio when making their decisions. Our brow technicians will do their utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the clients satisfaction prior to the procedure. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realize our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. uneven appearance can be fixed during the touch up session. Pigment discoloration and color correction can also be fixed during the touch up session.
